Great way for me to play with some of my embroidery designs, now that I think about it. I will set the machine to do some so I can play along.

The thing is you don't actually have to wash the fabric like normal. You can cut the amount you need and just hand wash it in the sink and place it into the dryer. That way you know if it is running color or a shrinker. I hope you join us Leesezany. It is so much fun.

I have my first set all ironed on and am doing the stitching on it. It is a snowman with a long nose. I love snowmen and he is perfect for this swap. My next one will be an elf's face. I just have to find some lighter fabric for the background to make him on.

That is a great idea, RedGarnet! Thanks for encouraging me to join, and I think I just might. I'll figure out what kind of blocks and make a tester before I commit.

OK here is my first block all stitched down. The buttons are just tacked on and very easy to clip off to quilt it. I just figured it was easier to save them without them getting lost that way.

He cracks me up! It looks like he is giving a speech! LOL! I think I will call him "Vote for Frosty". He will be slightly cut down to the 12 1/2 x 12 1/2" size.

p.s.) Sorry about the little loose blue thread on his arm. I didn't notice it there when I took the pic.

I ran across some elf legs I will make! I just found all the fabrics I need in the stash. I need to see if I have the right threads, but, I think I will be ok on that. How fun this swap is pat! Thanks for hosting it.

Is it ok to use cotton metallic fabric for this swap?
