Ok ladies I need some assistance, I bought a book off line and all the blocks are 8.5 unfinished can anyone tell me how much more I would need to add to make the block a 12.5. Another Question if I was to purchase the EQ program will it help me change the pattern measurements to make a 12.5 block.

Any assistance will be deeply appreciated. You can Pm me if you would rather do that then post on the thread.

    Hi Armylady,
The difference between them is 4 inches. So if you were going to add a border around it to make it twelve and a half you would need to add two and a quarter inch strips on either side. But, I would make it at two and a half and trim/square it down to the twelve and a half size. I am not always so exact with my finished block, so this would give a little wiggle room. See what I mean?

I keep finding such cute blocks to make! I am finishing up the sleepy santa's now, so they are in the mix of swap blocks I am sending girls.
I have the next set half cut out, but I am not saying what it is yet. We will see if it comes out cute first before I commit to another set.
These are so addicting here in the middle of all the heat of the summer.

Armylady most blocks that are in EQ's library or that you draw up yourself can be printed out in any size as rotary cutting, foundation or template instructions.

Going to the local quilt show today girls. I invited a friend to go with me, so it should be fun seeing it from a non quilter's eye.
