When I do my sets of blocks I only make one set of the small ones, the rest are bigger. I like the bigger sizes. I try to make a variety of shapes and sizes to get a good mix. So far I have a 12 1/2 by 12 1/2 (cardinal block), a 12 1/2 by 9 1/2( tree) and a 9 1/2 by 9 1/2 (snow globe). Still thinking on the last 3 sets. Hmm... I think I will look on line a bit for some ideas.
We will see if there is any interest in the swap when we finish this one out javin. If there is, we will go forward from there. I think it would be a great theme and many very cool blocks come to mind just imagining it to both work on the blocks and to set them all together.

Judith- those hats are so darn cute!! I have never seen them done with the yoyos. Adorable
Red- I will watch for the Valentine swap then. I have used a great heart pattern in swaps before that I would use again. I know there are quite a few out there.

I'm thinking hats and reindeer for my next two sets. I should say, I'm working on Hats now. And, I'm brain storming some type of Reindeer after that.
    OH MY!! How Beautiful!!

Ok here is my small block that will replace the log cabin Santa that I don't like. The background fabric has lots of silver glitter, it reflected in the flash and makes it look like snow or something. It was quite a challenge satin stitching around the little pieces of the black on the face and the beak! But I think they look ok. Now to decide on the last two sets.

Oh so very pretty javin! Such talent you have. The shading looks so near real on the birds.
