    javin, adorable stockings.

CookyIN, I got the red from JoAnn Fabrics off their blender wall. I don't have any marking on the selvedge piece I have left.

These blocks that y'all are doing are just amazing! Maybe next year I can join but before I do, I'd love to learn how to make the applique blocks (like the snowman above). If someone is making some and can do a tutorial, I would be very appreciative!

ok here is the last block... Yippie I'm done. I think. It looks kind of plain. I can't think of what else to do with it, so I guess I will just send it the way it is.

Someone wanted to know how to applique here is a youtube video that shows you how to do it both ways, by regular sewing, or using a embroidery machine...hope this helps....I love youtube video's I've learned so much from them. I'm fixing to take on a 8 point star, can't wait to try it.....

Thanks for the info, Judith. I'm in Joann all the time but hadn't noticed that one. I'll be sure to look next time I'm in.

I'm envious of you ladies who can do the beautiful satin stitching around your appliques. My attempts at that have not been pretty! I'll have to try and practice that through the winter months.
