    Javin - those "plain" little houses are adorable.

    For applique you can also use the button hole or ladder stitch. __|__|__ It is what I use as my satin stitches never look very good.

    Thank you so much! This is a great tut and I am sure will help anyone learning how to applique.

    There are also other videos there for other techniques! Good idea to watch a couple.

    I love the house blocks! How sweet they are.

    Finally getting back to this....here is set 5: Letter to Santa. That is stamp fabric as background!! Santa's name is embroidered and there is a fabric stamp in the corner.

    I just love those little houses and the snowmen. I have not trouble with applique, I just am not creative. But, I finally figured out that maybe I should check out coloring books for ideas.
