Love the ornament! Can't wait to see what others are working on.

Would it be possible to have those un-washed blocks tagged, so that extra care can be taken with them, before sewing them in with the others? I would prefer to hand wash the unwashed blocks, to avoid any bleeding or shrinking, after the quilt is complete.

    Hi Neesie,
I will tag any blocks that the maker lets me know that they are unwashed for sure! In the past I have never had one person let me know one way or the other about any unwashed blocks.

I do understand the concern completely. If you are going to spend that much time money and effort on something, you want to be able to wash it with confidence that something isn't going to run or shrink up.

Please anyone who could not wash their fabrics let us know, ok? We want to avoid heartbreak.

    Many thanks!

If I can get my current quilt project finished in time (trying to get it finished, to take to out-of-town family), I'll try my hand at some holiday/winter blocks and join y'all. Sounds like fun!

Cool Neesie! We would love to have you join us. The more the merrier for this swap.

Here is the gingerbread boy block set I made today. How fun to search through the built-in stitches to find the icing accents and mouth for him. The block is 6 1/2" x 9 1/2".

Too cute!!! I sat and listed ideas for my blocks. I came up with 10. Now to narrow it down to only 6.

Looking at my picture he looks like he is French with a handlebar mustache. How funny! It is supposed to be two hearts with a "V" in the middle. I think I need to make the girl ginger to go with him. I ended up with a 6 1/2" block again. I don't know why, but twice I have shorted myself by a half inch making my blocks this year. Maybe the heat up there gets to me.

I know klaws, it is so much fun to find cute blocks. Then I run to see if I have the fabrics for them. That could take me a while playing in the Christmas fabric drawers... LOL!

Hahahaha that's funny when I looked at him I thought "why does he look French?" then I zoomed in and saw the little hearts. He is quite cute. Are you going to make him a girlfriend? Also what is that fabric? It almost looks like corduroy the texture is perfect.
