Red, this is NOT your fault. The Post Office has complete idiots working for it. This is awful. Thank the lord it has tracking on it. But, I would be filing a serious complaint with the Post Office for their lack of professionalism.

Hostessing the swaps has gotten really stressful. These were supposed to be fun! I have pretty much stopped joining the swaps because the mail is so high. I could buy new fabric from what I'm spending in postage. It's pathetic. And, they don't even bat an eye when telling you the price!

Tell me about it, when I lived in Moore I could send 1 block in a envelope and it would only cost me the 44 cents for the stamp and they always weighed it. Well, I sent 1 block in a envelope and was charged over $2.00 for it....I was like heck I'm going to Orlando to mail these packages Perry is to high.....

I don't join to many swaps myself for the reason of the cost. I join about two a year. I'm a sucker for christmas and Halloween swaps. Well then I do love the puppy and chicken swap too. We haven't had any of those in a while.

It is outrageous that this package has been "lost" by the PO. I can't imagine what some of these postal clerks are doing with the mail. But honestly, I have never had any problems with anything I sent from my PO. Maybe some take their jobs a little more serious then others. I know that I have spent a lot on postage this past year on some of the swaps but I am finding ways to save money. I was using the flat rate envelopes and boxes but have found that sometimes using a dollar store padded env. saves me some money.

To Red, I am so sorry to hear that you are quitting being a hostess. Only someone who does this knows how much work you put into these swaps. Like the other ladies I will be sorry to see you stop.
