It is "shadow play", by Maywood studios a blender fabric. Ha ha ... I didn't notice the grain line before you just mentioned it. I would change the mouth, but, it would leave holes where the machine stitching was. I really didn't notice the French look until I took a pic of it. Up close it just looks like his little heart cheeks and a mouth. Honestly, he is very cute in person.

Red, I love your Gingerbread man just the way he is. I saw the design after I enlarged the photo a bit. He's great. I think my first set is going to be an applique Penguin. I found an adorable one on Pinterest. Goodness, I just love Pinterest. I have an adorable pattern for applique trees. And, then, I know I'm going to make several pieced sets. I just LOVE how they look mixed in.

I still have a ton of pieced blocks to make to pull my "Woman's favorite Things" Swap blocks into a finished quilt. But, I really look forward to it coming together.

I just have one other quilt to make for my grandson. Before he comes for a visit in November. I'm going to do a simple DP9. I'm looking for car and truck fabric to pull it together. Just need to find a few more prints and then I can get it into production. It's for his bed here when he visits. But, I told his mommy that he can trade in any quilt he's not crazy in love with for any I have here if he, or she wants to. That way, she doesn't get too flooded with quilts. And I can have something here for him to use. And, he'll have exactly what he wants.

Thank you so much Judith. I appreciate a vote for the positive on the little guy. I worked very hard on him.

Guess what I got the bells leaflet in the mail today. How fun is that. She must have taken it directly to the post office after I won the bid. It flew here in record time.

I thinkI will have to go and get some gold blender fabric for the blocks, but maybe not if I make them silver bells. I gotta think on that one, silver would be nice on a winter blue background.

I'm more partial to the silver and blue also. But, I'm sure red and gold or green and gold would be just as nice.

    Default Starry night

    Hello
I just wanted to share one if my newest blocks it's fused I'm just waiting for some specialty threads I ordered to arrive so I can sew them down. It's hard to see but the stars are a wow so that's not the blue you see its the white stars. . I am also working on a winter tree scene I am liking but it's currently missing something so I don't want to show it off till I get that worked out.

Love the ornament and the stars. Very nice. Sounds like there's going to be lots of variety.
