    I use bobbin buddies, but the rubber band idea is intriguing. Problem with rubber bands (Gum bands in Pittsburgh , is they dry out and break. I think hair elastics without the metal thing would be more durable and work as well.

    I store mine in a bobbin case, but I went to the Dollar Store and bought a colorful package of pony tail bands that fit perfect around the bobbin, with so many colors I can match the bobbin and band.

    I use the little plastic bags ( I think they're about 2"x3") that you can get in the bead section, to put the thread and bobbin in. I use zip lock sandwich bags for the cones from Superior threads. Has worked well for me.

    I use the bobbin ring holders but really like the rubber band idea.
