I made something like this from 2 closet maid closet organizers and a piece I had left from one of those "knockdown" bookshelves that had fallen apart. I used the side of the bookcase for the top. It works great for me, looks OK and was cheap. I got the shelf units for $12.00 each. The best part was the shelves were the right size for the organizer drawers I already had.

I am on the lookout for some sort of brace to slip over the back/side pieces so I can glue the thing back together. Look fabulous, just not structurally sound.
What you need are Clamps Ask anyone who work with wood, and maybe they will let you borrow theirs over night. you do your gluing, clamp it, let it dry , and remove clamp(s).if you lived near e we would loan you some.

Thanks ever so much for this post. I have been looking for a cutting table that's at least 36" high; counter height but have not found one in the price range I'm looking for. When I saw this beauty I called Costco. I also looked up Bayside on-line for reference. Bayside shows this unit in 3 color choices, all with a price of $599! Costco customer service said they have been discontinued and will not be reordered. I got one yesterday. If you're thinking about it you should probably act quickly. We have 3 Costcos in the Tucson area and only one had any left.

Ah shucks. Looks like it's made in China.

Oh I really like that, the side shelves too ... unfortunately do not have room for it ... if I did, I would definitely get one

That looks great-saw one online at Big Lots on clearance for 300$. Report back to us with your findings. Definitely want to get rid of my old glass table and that looks like the perfect solution
