Wow....good way to look at it Bgirl. I think of getting rid of the fabric I no longer care for etc, and then think....why? I could practice different skillsets and always make animal beds and give it away that way. At least I gained a little more out of it without having to sit with the clutter or just get rid of it.

I wonder how much more I'd be able to do if I didn't spend so much time on here and on Pinterest looking at more quilt patterns. LOL

    I really like this idea.

Getting more organized helps me to see what I already have. I am motivated to use more up now that I have more time to sew. Notice I did write "more organized." I tend to thrive on a little creative chaos.

Normally, I clear off an area when I start a project. I try to do the project from my stash. I only organize when I can't clear the work area -- have spent waaaay too much time the last 2 years trying to organize and I have been missing too much sewing.

Yes! When I organize my fabric I tend to realize I need more of a certain color so its downhill from there...

I organize...and I buy more. Sometimes there is a fabulous deal I just can't pass up. As long as you can find it later, your organization works.

Not really. Usually someone is coming over and the place needs to be presentable. Sometimes I tidy up when I've finished a major project.

I have quit buying. I have been to too many estate sales & there are hundreds of yards of fabric for the family to sell
