I purchased an old mail sorter cabinet. Has just the right size to store all of my FQ & 1/2 yds. Bought it at antique shop & the gal asked what I was going to do with it , she said well I wish I would have thought of that, it wouldn't have gone in the shop. Narrow & doesn't take up much space but holds lots of fabric.

That's an awesome way to display/store your FQs! I have a similar way, but it is behind my closet door. This rack system was often used for storing VHS movies. I used to store notions on these shelves, but have recently decided to put my FQ's there so they're easier to see. This is still a work in progress, have more to do, but you get the idea.

That's exactly what I was thinking! But what a great idea, now I'm thinking outside the box for storage.

Okay I can see quilters riding by dumpsters looking for card racks. You know it will happen and I plan on looking this afternoon. Great idea.
