    ***
    *** I saw once in a man's shop
    *** pegboard painted and then
*** after deciding where things should go
*** marked around with a magic marker.

***But be sure where you want things before marking.

Yes you can buy chalkboard spray paint and you can usually buy it at Wal-Mart. Pretty easy to do. My Husband even cut some trim and put around the edges of mine. Painted them pink. Looks cute.

I have big section of pegboard and have so much stuff on it that I never tried to do the outline thing. Personally, I wouldn't bother to paint it. You can just outline on the pegboard.

I haven't used blackboard paint. I had a friend hang his tools on pegboard in the garage. He outlined the tools with a sharpie

Just search on pinterest for home made chalkboard paint. There is a way to make it yourself pretty cheap.

Thanks for all the suggestions!! I'm glad to hear that there is a spray paint because canned paint and peg board doesn't work well together!

I like your idea, especially using the chalk so if you need to change your placements you can do so easily.

I have used pegboard, love it and yes chalkboard paint in spray cant remember if got it at lowes or home depot. do not buy at craft stores as it is quite a bit more expensive there. so get pegboard and spray at same store. on can it says chalkboard paint.
