I "thought" by cutting scraps into strips (2-1/2" x various lengths),
charm squares, and and anything less than 2-1/2" width into another
it would help me to conquer the scraps mess..... not so much, I spend
more time cutting than I do sorting.

So with that being said I am just going to keep the scraps tucked away
in bins until I can at least see MAJOR improvement in the reduction of
    fabric in bins.

my scraps are in a big plastic bag. I'm going to make fabric when I have time or can't focus to well and then it will be a scrappy quilt for our comfort quilts. I think those look so good. I love them.

I just packed up for our group meeting tomorrow and the craft room looks so neat and clean. This thread has been a real boon.

I've tweaked my sewing room a bit to make it more efficient. We'll have some company soon and the room will be turned back into a guest room which means everything will be moved, folded up etc. so..I took pictures with my IPad to help me remember where to put everything back. Wow! What a motivator those pictures are! It seems that what doesn't look so bad to me while I'm in there...looks really bad in the pictures.

That's interesting. I'm not much of a picture taker so I've never had a chance to notice that. I'm just happy when I walk in and there isn't stuff everywhere. That can really slow me down and cause that feeling of anxiety.

I even dusted in there this week. Once I vacuum I'll be ready for anything,...right?

This reminds me of when my daughter, who is now 29, was about 4 and listening me talk to my sister in law. She knew she shouldn't interrupt, so she whispered while we were talking about various housekeeping chores, "Mommy, (very very quietly), what's dusting?"

That kind of explains the condition of my sewing room. The whole house actually!

I get it. I so get it. Housekeeping still seems like punishment to me. it's what I did before I could go out and play and by the time I was done it was time to eat and do the dishes and then it was to late.

Today I organized my crafting bookmarks. I couldn't find things well so this will make it easier.

A friend rescued some articles on crazy quilts that were headed for the trash. She knows I love the style. I got them into my design book. One of these days...
