I use basic tables from the used office furniture store. They are cheap and functional and can be reconfigured multiple ways. I just use cheap organizers from Home Depot for underneath storage. But then, in my sewing room I'm more about function than form.

Redoing our home office. Told DH to fix me a desk top like our kitchen table top which he made. He has a keyboard kit for underneath. Then all I need is another file cabinet. Don't even have to attach it. Right now I'm using a cardtable.

Martha's furniture is either at Lowe's or home Depot I believe. At least it is here in Va. You could go take a look

Cams gram..re: the oversized top on that drawered cabinet. Does it make getting into those drawers difficult with that overhang? Just wondering.....

    Default Desk

I bought the Martha Stewart craft desk a few years ago for a place to organize my beading supplies. It is very difficult to put together, love the size and for sitting and working on beads it is fine but I do not think it could hold the weight of a sewing machine. While I like the looks of the table and it is a nice size, they could have made the top stronger, would not recommend for a sewing table.

I don't like her products but that's me, I had a few of her things and they fell apart. My son made me all wooden bookcases, they are so strong he can walk right up the shelves. I have drawers that come out of the one's you buy in walmart and he put the right into the units for me.
