Default My Sewing / Quilting room. Pics.

    My Sewing / Quilting room.
Since I joint this board, I've put in practice a lot of ideas to improve my sewing space. It's an open space in the attic with a lot of sunlight.
With my DH help the white bookcase/cabinet is now an almost dedicated space to store my stuff.
My sewing machines: A Featherweigh born in 1948 (I've got another two), an Spanish-brand Sigma 30 years old and a Pfaff Ambition Essential.
Recycled green boxes (from the office) in the shelves for scraps, deconstructed old shirts, notions, etc...
Rulers and mats (over the freezer ). A wonderful design-wall absolutelly useful to avoid mistakes (best idea ever!!! )
And a neat reorganization of my little stash: rule-folding the fabric and storing it in closed drawers. I love fabric but I prefer choose it when I've got a proyect in mind otherwise I'm incapable to fit the stash-fabric in a whole not scrappy proyect. So now, I tend to buy basics: blenders, backquilts, solids...
I love hand quilting so the armchair is comfortable. And the quilts hanging in the wall cheer me up.
Hope you like it. Happy quilting!!!
    Marta.

What a beautiful organized sewing/quilting room. Even if my sewing room was half as nice as yours, I can guarantee you that it wouldn't be as nicely organized and clean.

Absolutely love your room. I'm afraid I'd fall asleep in that chair. Too cozy but sometimes we need cozy!
