Don't you just love Connecting Threads thread? I am always ordering more colors as I do tons of applique & prefer to use matching thread. I store my threads in clear shoeboxes, sorted by color. They match the other bins & such that I have. I was never so matchy-matchy as I am now that I'm older. OCD kicked in big time!

What a great use of this space. I don't usually like to put things in drawers. They get so cluttered but this is one time that a drawer becomes a wonderful tool. DH did a wonderful job creating this great storage space for you. He understands!
He also deserves a big hug.(((( ))))

Why not use Velcro? You can buy the press and stick dots of Velcro - at least you could several years ago. Good luck in your organization.

Just goes to show that good ideas never go out of style. My mother made one like this more than 90 years ago.
