Legs of sewing stool scratching the floor -- solved!
1 Attachment(s)
My sewing stool is 60 yrs old, just like the Singer cabinet it goes with, and my Singer 15-91 (and I am that old also!). I love the stool, but its wooden legs like to scratch our laminate floor. The felt pads that we tried to use always came off too quickly, even after my husband glued them on. So, I did something else, something I learned from a church custodian who was tired of table legs scratching up his newly waxed floors. Tennis balls! See the pic. They look funny, but they're working fine!

Our school does this to dampen the sound of the desks/chairs in our classrooms! Especially helpful for my youngest, who was highly distracted by sounds!

Clever girl! It looks quiet funky too!

What a great idea!

you could always cover those with your fabric of choice...
|
I would use baby socks and a rubber band to keep them on.

I have seen this done before and it does make a wonderful difference. Thanks for sharing.

awesome...will try to make a mental note of that for my sister..hehe
|
Good idea! I have also seen crocheted/knitted "booties" to slip on the legs.

Looks very "sporty".:D
