Cagey 11-21-2012 09:00 AM

What a nice room. My room is in the basement as well. You gave me some ideas.

Beeboop71 11-21-2012 09:14 AM

You have a great space~love your sewing machines. I would like to collect a few vintage ones myself. I have 2 that I use, a serger and I just picked up Singer 160th Anniversary sewing machine because it reminded me of the one my mother had when I was a little girl. Isn't it great to have your own creative space! Wonderful job organizing.

bepositive 11-21-2012 06:47 PM

WOW!!! That looks AMAZING! :) Can you come over and organize MY sewing room?!?!?! :) :)

kbonafede 11-22-2012 06:22 AM

This is one delightful room, and you have such a magnificent stash of fabrics. I can see that you have enjoyed the process of putting everything into its place, and the process of making decisions. Having all of the shelving and enough space in your room is such a blessing. You can spread out for the larger projects. Do you have pictures of your hammocks somewhere? I would enjoy seeing what you create. I live in Frederick, Colorado -- just 20 minutes north of Denver, and I enjoy seeing the posts to this Quilting Board from all over the United States.

I had the very same appreciation for the towel bar ideas!!!!!!! Would like to know where to find some of these so I could steal this idea. I can see quilt patterns hanging from them along with finished quilt squares waiting to be sewn to gether. Some of these would just be great near the cutting table so I could keep up with my sissors.

Nice room, almost looks like a picture out of a magazine.

Sew lucky to have such a large room - and your Stash! wow! I'm still re-organizing my sewing closet in a spare bedroom, tried to have the sewing cabinet in there but it got too crowded with the ironing board and other furniture (doubles as a guest bedroom), so now my sewing cabinet/machine are in our enclosed garden room. I actually prefer this since I get to be in the center of the house, can access the kitchen for coffee, and mind the washer and dryer as they are out there too. Small TV, two seater couch and a table and chairs for a snack (or to extend my cutting area when needed). I don't feel squashed in the back of the house and away from 'everything'. But that closet! in the process of culling kiddy prints my teenager won't wear anymore and have no useful purpose for us (and to make room for more quilting fabric!). It's a work in progress and I'd like it done by the time my daughter returns to school so I can get out my fabric and start sewing!

Mamatron 12-28-2012 11:45 PM

Very Pretty, and soooo clean!

I've cut/sewn a few orders in here finally, but it took me a while! The first week after it was finished, I couldn't bring myself to do anything in here, besides show it off to friends/neighbors, lol!

U don't really sew in there, way to pretty lol A girl after my own organized heart, my kids think I am crazy cause i love nothing more then organizing a mess. By the way, Welcome Chelsey-you did a awesome job.
