ruler organizing
I have been redoing my sewing/computer room and need a way to organize my rulers. Was wondering what is a really good way? I can't seem to find them when I need them. Thanks for any reply.

I just got a deep container from the dollar store and stood them up in it. At least they're all in one place and I don't have to hunt them down.

peg board wall.. I love mine, nothing fancy but its neat and organized...
PLUS you can Paint it any color you like ... Ive seen a post a while back that someone actually painted quilt blocks on it.. |
I also have a peg board.

I also use a peg board for rulers and mats.

I have peg board on the upper half of 2 walls in my sewing room, holds all my threads, scissors, rulers and anything else I can hang. The only catch is, I have to remember to put the item back when I am through with it.

I have a flannel backed tablecloth(design wall) afixed to my wall with a furring strip with two screws, I have painted it with some deco paint. To this my DH pounded big fat nails on which I hang scissors, rulers, patterns, hoops, etc.
I must say that pic is pretty! BUt I think my nail takes up less space, and my space is extremely limited as my sewing room is in a very small bedroom. |
I have a flannel design wall that has 8 gommets at the top (I think it is a Fons and Porter). Used the small 3M hangers whose hooks are of thin metal, not plastic to hang the design wall. The hooks not only hold up the design wall, but I can hang my rulers from them also. I do have to take the rulers down if I am working on a large quilt so I have use of the entire design wall.
