Quilt Storage Idea

Quilt Storage Idea
I bought these old wooden boxes a couple of years ago with the idea of stacking them to make a side table. That never happened. A few weeks ago I decided to get some use out of them. We hung them on the wall and I put plastic sheeting on the bottom then folded or rolled small quilts to fit inside. One of the boxes holds some of the glass jars that I store notions in. I thought you might like the idea or could use it for your own studios. What do you think....don't they look pretty good?

A friend and I took her crazy quilt to Hallye Bone to have it appraised. The friend told her she stores the quilt in a cedar chest. Hallye told her to be sure it was covered with something or in a pillow case and not touching the wood. I'm not sure if she meant the actual wood or the wood finish can be damaging. Might be worth checking in to. Very cute idea though........
