If you are not really tall, you might put a nail in a stud to the left of your peg board and you can hang your wooden thread holder there. I used to stand mine up but I now prefer them hanging. And, I keep bobbins wound with the same thread on top of the thread w/ these plastic attach thingies or you can use those rubber thingies too (Nancy's notions has both of these.)

Quick question....can I ask the size of your cutting table and the width of your sewing table? My hubby is in the process of making me a sewing space, too, and I have approximate dimensions, but not sure if they will be too small. Yours looks like what I am looking for, so I'm curious as the measurements.
