    Default Renovations almost finished

We've been doing some renovations to my sewing room and thought I would share some photos. We removed the carpet and wallpaper - put down wood flooring and painted the room a light purplish-gray. My hubby also built the L-shaped counter tops which I love. He still has drawers to make for the two end cupboards but bought the wood today for that job.

    Default last two photos

Sorry to send so many - too excited I guess! Hubby put in grommets to help get rid of the sewing machine cords all over the counter top. He also put some strips (like a small box tube) down the wall to hide the cords from the lights under the wall shelf unit. I have room for bins/totes/drawer thingees under the counter top, too so lots of storage. Not much room for my serger but I can move over the quilting machine beside it whenever I wish to serge. It's not perfect but so much better than the old sewing area!

The room is 11' x 13' so not huge but certainly workable. I used to have two industrial machines where the L-shaped counter top now is. Then I bought another embroidery machine and no where to put it! So the industrial ones were sold and the renovations began!

Well you've utilized the space beautifully!! My room is only 7' x 9' (we don't do large in the UK!!) and is in need of an overhaul!!!! My friend Izy(also on QB) has threatened to visit and get me 'organized'!! Can't wait!!!!
