my dh saw the picture online of the rack with the cup hooks and made me a larger version. It doesn't have the drop down door, but I don't need it. I just needed more slots for rulers.
I'd post a pic, but I'm at my dd's.
When I get it on the wall, I'll take a picture
p.s. anybody's hubby that has access to two boards, a router, small nails and two wooden brace thingies from hardware store can make one like mine. (of course to me, mine is a treasure! )
I painted it and will add cup hooks and load 'er up!

I ordered one of these for my rulers and I just love it. It hold almost all of my rulers and in the drawer are my bobbins and other tools. I am planning on buying another one when I move my sewing center from my bedroom corner to the family room.

I have two wooden racks with ridges cut in them to hold a lot of my rulers. Some are small and are on a belt holder, large metal circle that they can hang on, and the really large ones are stacked below my cutting table. Works for me, no right or wrong way. Whatever works for you.

I simply use a slotted folder desk top organizer. It sits at the end of my cutting table and I can take out what I need and I put it right back when done. Cheap and easy and works great. I can store about 15-20 rulers in it.

My Ruler Organization
I have all my rulers and my cutting tools hanging on my wall on Peg Board that my hubby framed and attached to the wall, it is about 4' x 4' The board is hung right above my cutting table which used to be an old solid wood closet door, that my hubby put legs on. It sometimes gets to be a bit of a mess cause I've got quilt patterns that I want to make hanging on the board too. But it works great for all my rulers, and cutting tools etc.
I have a wooden ruler holder that my hubby made for me and I use that for the rulers I use most often. It's nothing fancy as he is not a fan of woodwork, but he is a great welder and I love him dearly.
My sewing room is about 10' x 11' and it is getting cramped, my closet is full of totes with fabric and old blue jeans that I'm going to use one day for a floor mat, under my cutting table I have 5 - 4 drawer storage carts and one the other wall I have 2- 5 drawer storage carts that are full of fabric. Yikes that's crazy... perhaps I need to downsize my stash!!
