When we were first married, we lived in a townhouse and I sewed in the "breakfast nook". It really was a nook! It was about 6' x 8'. It was amazing what a little organization and creativity could do with that space. It was back in the 80's and I made all my own suits for work in that tiny space.

Good job on organizing your sewing nook!

not sure where you are mountainwoman but try finding a quilt show. We have one coming in Feb to the Hampton roads area. At almost all of the shows they have a design wall that just looks like an old fashioned window blind, you know the solid vinyl ones that you pull and it rolls up. You could buy one or make one out of a large blind like that. Google it or check you tube, there are lots of ways to do design walls. My first one was spare bedroom that had my daughter's queen size box spring stood up against the wall, that box springs made a great design wall. You can use flannel or just about any fabric that has a little cling to it. I still use pins to make sure the fabric stays in place.

Your space is great! I sew in a corner of the living room with a large picture window right in front of me. It's my happy no-stress-allowed space and I love it. I keep bins under my table with essentials and the rest in a closet in our room that I can bring out as needed. I have a lovely fish tank right next to me that is very relaxing.
