Lynnie: that is a GREAT friend. And for as much as you sew, I can imagine the project that was and Is for both of you. What a nice way to bond again, though

When my hubby and I were first married, he reorganized the kitchen. I went out while he was at work and reorganized all of his tools. Two days later the kitchen magically was put back where I originally had them. And then he reorganized his tools.

Lessons learned. His space. My space Now we just make "suggestions" and if it happens it happens, but if it doesn't there is a reason and we keep our fingers off each others' things.

Hehehehe. Will be married 29 years this fall!

Last weekend, I had planned to be at a retreat. Thursday night got the 24 hr uk and didn't get any sleep. Friends and family rallied around and took good care of me. Love is a great thing. And can't be replaced.

Oh And, yesterday, I unloaded all the stuff my friends quickly reloaded into my car (since I had to go home from the retreat). So far I think there's only 3 small things missing.... those were probably found when everyone else packed up to come home. They'll show up. If not, they can be replaced. They're just things.

The hubs and I don't rearrange each other's space. We might consult but that's as far as it goes. I have made pouches for some of his tools from discarded leather totes (scarred) when he's asked. He does know he can use the sewing machines anytime. His mother taught him to sew when he was very young and he helps maintain ours (yes our machines). I got into working on shredding old checking accounts and other paperwork a box at a time. By the time I was finished for the day, I had 10 boxes done. Not everything could be shredded but everything with social and driver's licenses. Can't believe how many years I had my social on my personal checks and drivers license # on others. I have decided I will not keep magazines I can read online. The office looks so much better. I did get rid of some things from the sewing room that were of no use.

tessagin, that's a never ending job...I try to eliminate a year every year. My office is for our business that I do all the bookwork for. No one touches my office...I can't believe how much more paper I have had to keep over the last 45 years....

    Back to my baby quilts!

Tessagin: I went through old personal checks, paycheck stubs, etc, last year. I found some that went back 30 years as they were in the bottom of a box for later years. Oops!

The only things with driver's licenses written on them were car related but many of the pay checks had social security numbers on them including old chiropractor bills.

Oksewglad: Smart family that knows not to touch anything in your business office.

I am sorting some blue fabrics by width. I am ironing them also if needed.

petthefabric: I am SO sorry you had to leave the retreat early. What a huge let down. But great friends to help you out with the packing up of your car. Very nice!

Now....can I just say I LOVE your screen name. I "pet fabric" all the time....it's like free therapy!

Yesterday I dyed several pieces of fabric and set them aside to dry....today I am going to put them away in their designated drawer. Then I need to figure out what goes in the two empty drawers in my closet--- I got stuck on what to put in them because I was afraid of that out of sight out of mind thing. BUT yesterday while making room on my work table for my dye trays I picked up several things that don't have a designated spot and stuck them on my step stool "temporarily". Then I had to use my step stool to put away a painting so I had to move the stuff back to my work table. At 5 am this morning it dawned on me that if I put all those piles of stuff in those drawers and then forget about them, maybe they should be donated. So today I am going to take all those piles that I've been moving here and there and SHove them in those two empty drawers. Then I'm going to put a label on each drawer with today's date. If I take something out of the drawers and use it, then I have to find a permanent spot to store it. Anything left in those drawers on May 1, 2018 gets donated or tossed. This may be a breakthrough
