Before I went to sub yesterday, I had a lightbulb moment and grabbed a bunch of gallon sized baggies and some labels with sizes printed on them to tape inside the bags. I have been sorting my blue fabric according to widths based on 1" from less than 2" to 11 +". Good thing I grabbed them because I had plenty of time to tape the labels in the bags. Lol!

So today, I took more and did them when I had time. Now I need to sort more fabric.

See where the gaps are in the box...I put lining sides together and top stitched the edges together to close the box.
    Love these boxes.

I’ve spent the last two days organizing my sewing room and quilt studio. I didn’t start out to do it, I just moved a few things and got on a roll and couldn’t stop. I had not seen the entire top of my cutting table in 2 years! I still have some cabinets to go through but I’m really feeling good about the nice clean area. I think I’ll get in there tomorrow and sew and mess it up again! Lol.p

My scraps are by color in lidded boxes (free) from my neighbor who sold door to door cosmetics. I don’t have quantity like some quilters have.

This week (between other duties) I’ve been purging each box. Anything over 1 yard is measured and labeled then ruler folded, will store them together in another area. The remainder is becoming fat quarters, or certain size blocks or strips for a couple of favorite easy charity quilts. Not much is going back to the boxes and the store has more if I want it ! I didn’t know “lightening the load” could be so gratifying !

We're putting up 3- 8' shelves over a sewing machine.

I dug through the 2 1/2" bin for scraps for Judy's mystery quilt here on board. Now sewing 4P's...so far have used only 6 fabrics that I had purchased...rest came from my quilt friends. scary!

Oh and I got fabric box 3 and 4 finished and the 2" HST's and 1.75" HST's have homes until I sew them for projects.

I am operating (may not be functioning..lol) outside my comfort zone right now by working on 3 projects at once. So I organized each project in its own container w/lid so I can keep my work space clear. Then I filed some patterns I printed from the net. I did the laundry and cleaned my front porch today, too.

Someone mentioned not seeing their cutting board for all the stuff- that's me! Yesterday I had to move all kinds of things just to cut some blocks for the mystery train project.
    Time to clean!!!

Teen- that's my problem. I have too many projects going at once. All I end up with is frustration

I cleaned my sewing room today (vacuumed/dusted/put fabric away). I do this after every quilt top I complete and today I finished a quilt top. I am seriously anal...more so in my sewing nook/office than anywhere in the house (except bathrooms/kitchen). My master bedroom needs a serious dusting but I'd rather sew...
