I have been going through boxes since I just moved. I have been sorting and if something just doesn't work any more, it goes into a donate pile.

Even though my new home has more space, I want less stuff. I will slowly go through everything and organize or toss. We did get rid of a lot but there is always more isn't there?

I too have ADHD and this is hard but I know it is a process so I expect now to have these projects more or less ongoing with breaks so there is no burn out.

One motivation is I won't allow myself to buy any new clothes until I go through my wardrobe strategically. This will certainly get me focused soon.

Good job of passing on the carousel horse, it sounds like it wasn't ever going to be near the top of your list. Keep at it. It is hard to move but worth the work done beforehand.

the coax lines are trash, but the landline cords are great plant ties, kitty toys, tying fabric bundles ...

Doing pretty good at finding 1thing each day to get rid of. Some days I don’t find anything, but most days I find more than 1thing, so I think I’m still meeting my goal. Yesterday I found an new in the box cd cleaner with a tag that indicated it had been purchased in ...wait for it...1999. It’s gone. Today I’m going to try to fill up another box with books to be donated. Also going to look for anything else that can be removed from our living space. It seems like the more I get rid of, the more I find. Guess that’s what happens when you live in the same house for 25 years LOL.

I found a new place to donate no longer wanted quilt/sewing items ... the quilt guild I recently joined has a sharing table at each meeting! I was able to rehome dozens of quilt magazines. Better than dropping off at a goodwill store as I know there is an interested audience. I always wonder how much of the stuff I drop off at goodwill ends up in the dump...

Over the weekend I toted four boxes of books out to the car. Today I’m going to tackle the clutter that is on the guest bed. Anything that is sewing related and keepable needs to be assigned a storage space- wish me luck- we’ve got an overnight guest showing up sometime this week so it’s got to get done.

Once that’s taken care of I want to concentrate on the studio that holds my big cutting table- something has to give since using it means climbing over stuff to get from one end of the room to the other. Step one: take out the trash! Step two: sort what remains into donate or keep. Step three: put like stuff together and find a permanent home for it, or if one has already been designated then put it there!

Still hard at work, Rob....good going...

Except for a couple of jackets and a couple of coats each for DH & I, I have boxed and labeled our coat closet. This turned out to be hilarious as I enlisted the help of DH and he couldn't decide what to not pack up. So, I did not tape up the box but easily done when the movers show up.

i've been Spring cleaning like crazy so every inch of my home, including office/sewing nook is sparkling. I wish DH would just sit in a chair and not move all day. HA!

I’m impressed by how much everyone is getting done!

Just got back from the barn (farrier day) and decided to take a short rest before getting sheets and pillowcases on the guest bed- Yes, I successfully decluttered it the other day, so it will be available for our weekend guest LOL.

Got a good start on de-cluttering the studio that has my cutting table, but there is more to do. And I need to find today’s item to let go of....

There are still piles of magazines around the house. I'm copying the articles I want and gifting the rest, one meeting at a time.
