Who is planning on going to this? I have heard this is a great quilt show to go and visit.

I am planning on attending and maybe we can set up a meet and greet when we are there. If you are planning on going please post a note here so we can plan on a spot to meet.

You can also send me a private message.

I will probably go, only live about 1 1/2 hours from there. Love the place, and good resturant there too.

Sauder Village was started by Erie Sauder...my father's first cousin!

When my aunts...(my dad's sisters)...were still alive they all volunteered as quilters there. One of them was also one of the people who toured you through the farm house.

In the museum area, there is a section set up telling you about the beginnings of Sauder Furniture...and there are some pictures of the first buildings and employees...my dad is in one of those pictures! :)

My brother is the only one of my family-of-origin that still lives in the area...though we are related to a LOT of people in the area!

It is a beautiful village and you will enjoy every minute there!

I plan on going every year! It is close to me and it is the best around where I live. You get to see a wide variety. If anyone is thinking of going I recommend it. The quilt shop Threads of Tradition has a large supply of fabric, and always a sale section. It is already on my calendar!

I grew up in Ohio. Never heard of Sauder Village. What large town is it close to?

Hmmm, we are from Putnam County (and Henry and Defiance) and have relatives in Archbold. We go back every year for a visit, so this might be the perfect time!

I'll be going to this Quilt Show as it's about 2 miles from where I live. I've gone to them the past 3 years and looking forward to it.
