It is an overwhelming experience...go online to their website and sign up for emails, they will send you some great coupons to use online or in the store :)

I went to F. D. while visiting my sons in Bend. We went to Portland to see the rose gardens.

    Love Oregon! Everywhere there!

Anyway, We went to F.D. and I think that they are great. I live in PA. so I order on line all the time. Never had a bad experience with them.

I live iin Ohio and had only ordered from Fabric Depot. Like you I wanted to see the store so while we were in Oregon this summer we stopped. It was the largest fabric store I've ever seen. Organized by type of fabric and a huge selection of everything. Overwhelming really. I bought a couple of pieces, could have bought more if we hadn't been flying. Let me know if you've ever seen a bigger store.

I enjoy going there every so often to just walk around and drool! It never fails that I at least find 1 or 2 things I can not live without........oh yeah new fabric! I would probably go more often if the driving in Portland didn't shave 10 years off my life everytime I go! It is a adventure every time I go.

My dream store! Wonderful sales almost every weekend. Lots of choice from most fabric makers. Great online sales and service..........and the Montavilla store in there has my lay-away Pfaff!

If you live within 100 miles, take lots of money and make a day of it!

I've been there. They have great prices, but it is a warehouse style store and very impersonal. Service is terrible. I wrote about it on my blog:

    VickyOH,

I haven't been there but Marshall's Dry Goods in Arkansas is known to be great. I have bought from them on-line and am happy with my orders.
