Free Quilt Show in Florence Wisconsin June 26th
#1
Hi all! I will be helping the Florence Historical Society put on a FREE quilt show this weekend. We should have around 50 quilts and they will be displayed in the Chamfered House on HWY US2 in Florence, Wisconsin. The house is an old restored Victorian house- pretty to see on it's own. The owner is involved in the historical society and is allowing us to display the quilts all around the house.
The show will be Saturday, June 26th, from 11-3, and the Historical Society will be selling strawberry shortcakes and lemonade in the yard as a fundraiser. We have some antique quilts already brought in, and some newer ones, too. (I will have a couple in there.)
If anyone does make their way there, make sure you say hi to me! My mom and I will be the two that look alike! LOL!
Oh, and if anyone local wants to display a quilt, send me a PM and I will get back to you. Thanks!

I plan on attending the quilt show/ strawberry shortcake festival tomorrow in Florence, WI. Hope to meet as many QB participants as possible. DH and I reside only 15 miles from the "destination quilt show" on the WI-MI border.
The location for the show is wonderful...worth a trip in itself :-)
Way to go, Lisa!!

Awesome, Kay! I am excited to meet you- and you will get to see my pride and joy (Cherry Surprise). We set it up tonight and we have almost 60 quilts. There are at least a half dozen antique Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts. Most are from the 1930s and have been well cared for.
The quilts are draped around on furniture around the house and they look nice! The house is really pretty- worth the trip just to see the house.
