How I wish I could fly out there and join all of you! I absolutely love Colorado Springs.

My son went to the Air Force Academy and I would visit at least twice a year to see him and all the wonderful places I wanted to see. Last time I was there in 2008, I couldn't believe the growth compared to 2002. It still beckons to me and I may just move out there someday.

The smokehouse is fine with me. Where is the Nuts located at? They have opened since I left CO. and I am sure things have changed in the last 4 years.

"Nuts & Bolts Needleworks" is located in the old NAPA Auto Parts building, just catecorner behind the Smokehouse.

This is an older ad, but it gives you an idea of what they've done with the old auto parts building.

Welcome to Nuts n Bolts Needleworks
    Location: 200 S Chestnut Street
The owner & staff of Woodland Park's new fabric/quilt shop welcome all to come and see what we have done with the former Napa Auto Parts building. Instead of buying automotive nuts and bolts you will be able to purchase fabric, quilting, sewing, and needlework supplies from a familiar staff who are all "nuts" about our bolts of fabric. While not fully stocked, we are receiving merchandise daily. Hours are 10am-6pm Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, & Sat, 10am-7pm Thurs, 12-6pm Sun

The Ben Franklin store closed nearly two years ago. That's when Nuts & Bolts opened.
