You guys are making me homesick!

I wanna be there. Oh well.

Is that restaurant down at the old CS train station still there? Boy was that good.

How about taking in one of the old western barbecue shows on the Flying W? Gosh, we used to love that. Don't miss Garden of the Gods. Pikes Peak was great as was the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo and Air Force Academy and the outlet mall.
Missed the quilt shops when I lived there as I did not quilt then.
Too bad you can't go up to Aurora and go the Great American Quilt Factory.

Oh gosh, I 'm so envious. Have fun all and think of me. (Yeah right!)

I would really like to try to make this meeting. My DH is supposed to be having some major surgery, but we're not sure if it will be around that time or not. We're going to be in Manitou Springs over the 4th of July weekend for a family reunion. I'll keep checking back on what your plans will be, and I will certainly try to make it. It would be a blast to meet more people.

Leota came through Denver last weekend and I was able to spend a few hours with her (and her delightful mother). We went to a very small, but very wonderful quilting museum. Then we did all sorts of damage at the LQS that was across the street. It was soooo much fun!!!!! It really is good to meet people from the Board.

Oh Ducky, it would be great if you could make it. Would be fun to meet. I love Manitou Springs. Such a quaint town. Spent a day there on one of my visits to my daughter. I think we hit every one of the springs to sample the water. Have a great time. And hope you can make the 16th.

Can't get the URL to open. Drat. Gotta check that place out when I get there.

I've been to the places you mention plus so many more. There is so much to do there and so much history. We hit the outlet mall everytime if you're referring to the one between Denver and the Springs. Been to the Zoo twice - once in the summer and once in the winter. The church at the Academy is a "must" for anyone who goes to the Springs plus the main center. Went to the top of Pike's Peak. I took the train but my daughter and her son have climbed it. Phew - the elevation. My daughter lives at around 7,000 feet and I've finally gotten used to it.

WOO HOO - one week and I'll be there. So looking forward to the 16th and meeting everyone. Flying directly into the Springs this time.

I would love to go. It is a favorite spot for me lol. I worked at one casino's when I lived in Floressant. Hubby worked security at Grand.

I can't wait for the 16th either. Having my garage sale this week so I can shop and gamble lol good reason huh.

Get ready everyone we are almost there.!!

Looking forward to meeting anyone that can come on Friday the 16th at the Circle H Smokehouse in Woodland Park at 11:00 for lunch. After lunch we'll stroll across the street to Nuts & Bolts Needleworks to check out all their lovely fabrics, patterns, books and more! There's even a Sale corner!

I'll reserve the large table there, so we'll have plenty of room to chat and share. See you all there!!
