Default Great Quilt Show in Kerrville, Tx

There's a really nice quilt show going on this memorial day weekend in Kerrville, Texas put on by the Hill Country Quilt Guild. Lot's of beautiful quilts and good vendors too. Their raffle quilt is one of the best I have ever seen. If you're anywhere in the vicinity, plan on going. Well worth it.

My sister and I went today! Didn't get there until after 2 PM though. We stopped along our way from Wimberley at a pie place in Fredericksburg, a quilt shop in Fredericksburg, another quilt shop in Kerrville, and a sandwich shop to eat lunch. Quilt show was wonderful! I found some quilted placemats for my mom for $6, and a wooden ruler rack for my small rulers, as well as a new quilt pattern that uses 10" squares (pattern is called "10-pack".

The scissor man was there and we had a pair of scissors that my grandmother had owned that needed sharpening. My mom had inherited those and was hoping they could be sharpened whenever my sister went to a quilt show. They cut wonderfully now.

I hope those of you in or near the Texas Hill Country can attend this show.

Labeelady - If you went to the Fredericksburg Pie Company, that is the BEST place! Oh my goodness, I think I could gain 1,000 pounds and be the happiest quilter ever!

Unfortunately the rain is keeping us away. We did plan on going yesterday, then planned for today. We are drowning in San Antonio. Why do we always get a years worth of rain in 1 or 2 days and then none for a year or so????????

Would love to be able to go to that, but just toooo far away. Our son lives in San Marcos. We live 500 miles away from you in far West Tx. Have fun and be sure and take some pics, so we can enjoy them.
