Default Group Lodging Sisters Quilt Show, So. Deschutes Co.

Is there a group / club of quilters to rent a vacation home just south of Sunriver for July 11-13? The Christmas Valley Quilting Club used it in 2012. There's a huge greatroom upstairs to spread out quilting projects. At $449/nt, that's $45/nt/pers if we can get at least 10 people. It sleeps 8-12, but beds are mostly King & Queens, some futons, sleeper sofas, rollaways for max 18 people. Less than an hour drive to Sisters. See the Homestead Lodge at DiamondStone Guest Lodges, www.diamondstone.com. Thanks.

I'll be at that show, but I already have a hotel room in Redmond, since I'll be going to the Redmond show as well.

    Good luck!

I was lucky enough, last year, to be staying in Redmond when they had the first Oregon Expo. I think that's what they called it. Wednesday night, the wine tasting & chocolate was a lot of fun. They had a group of guys that entertained us at the wine tasting and later as we were waiting for the bus to go to Sisters. The expo at Redmond had some good vendors there. Oh, yes, I spent a few dollars. Then my first time at Sisters. What can I say? My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed all the beautiful quilts hanging everywhere. I had never known that some would be for sale. Every time we turned around there were more beautiful quilts.

I'm a little jealous and sad....I probably won't make it this year. Oh well, there is always next year.
