Default Houston Quilt Festival is Almost Here!

I'm getting so excited. This time next week, I'll be at Quilt Festival enjoying all the quilt and vendors and having so much fun. I love the fall!

You can spend a lot of money at Quilt Festival. I have an envelope that I put cash in each week and save it up so that I can buy what I want and enjoy Quilt Festival. I used to take classes but it's gotten to where it's such a hassle getting to the convention center from my house during the week that I don't do that anymore. The classes are really pricey but worth it.

Santa was very kind to me this year: she let me sign up for four days of classes, gave me permission to volunteer for a three-hour shift two days, and gave me an allowance to shop in the afternoons.

As a side-note, I take the Metro and avoid the hassle and cost of parking downtown. Since I'm an old guy, I get to ride Metro at no charge, and there's no charge for parking where I leave my car. I always limit my purchases since I know I will have to hand-carry them on the Metro.

I am really looking forward to going again. It's an amazing adventure!!

I'm going too! My friend and I are going to take Uber to get to and from as the traffic and parking are horrendous. Yippee Skippy!
