I want to start a thread with lots of discussion about the Houston Quilt Show. This year it is taking place November 4-7. I am giving everyone a heads up, so they can plan and save and hopefully will be able to attend. I think it would be so fun for a big group of us to be able to get together.

I already have my hotel room booked and am just waiting for a good price on an airline ticket. I will be there all 4 days.

Tisha (aka quilter1962) already has her airline ticket!!!! She will be flying in on the 2nd and getting over her jet lag before the show starts.

So.........come on ladies. Who is up for the Houston show this year??

I think we are if I can get the motorhome turned that direction!! Gotta work on my driver. We will be in an RV park somewhere, maybe even dry camped in the parking lot. :D :D

    Hi,

I would love to attend but hubby has been unemployed since July 2009 and hard to save $$. I am planning on going there one of these days.

If anyone goes, be sure to take plenty of pictures for show and tell. I hope you can plan a group of quilters from this board to meet someplace. Also would be cool to have cool name tags that others can spot so they would know that you are from Quiltingboard site.

I got rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott on Dallas Street. It is about 6-7 blocks from the Convention Center. They still had rooms available last week.

Karen---I was thinking the same thing. I will definitely find a place and plan a time for as many of us to get together as possible. And a quick and easy way to identify each other while we are at the show would be wonderful. If anyone has ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Here is the website about the show. They have a link where you can download a form to order a class catalog. http://www.quilts.com/home/contests/index.php
