Peggy--I could put a basket class together and teach on the 12 of Feb or the 29th of Jan. Let me know. They would need about 10 fat quarters of all colors and several backgrounds. Kathi

I don't see why not. We already have the church reserved. Let me see if folks will be available as it is sort of Valentines weekend.

I'll e-mail folks and see what they want to do.

Will there be a fee? If so what will you be charging?

I look forward to seeing you again.

I don;t know about a fee. Let's play that by ear. What do your other teachers charge?

We really haven't had any 'teachers' here at the church. We only have a couple of 'confident' quilters. The others I sort of 'hold their hands' as they attempt something unfamiliar. We have a lot of seniors and unemployed who have limited income.

Let me know what you think. (I'd have to get 'permission' to have a 'paid for' event due to insurance regulations. Our agent is a member of the church and she makes us 'tow the line' LOL.)

We could definitely take you to breakfast or lunch! We do love to eat!

Then the fee will be breakfast or lunch. They need sewing machines that are in good working order. And basic supplies ruller/mat/thread scissors.

I live near The Villages, but am interested in some quilt shops in the Jacksonville area. My daughter is a patient at Nemours and is having surgery there soon. 10 days is an aweful long time to sit in a hospital. Can someone tell me of some good quilt shops I can stop in to while I am up there? I don't know the area too well, but I can always GPS -it!!

There are 2 that I know about. One is on Blanding the other one is on Welles across from OP Mall. Both are nice.
