Kansas City, MO & Quilts???
My DH has planned for a September trip to a KC woodworking show. If I don't busy myself during that time with quilty stuff I'm afraid I'll get bored. I will be so grateful for any suggestions!!!

What to do in Mo.
Kansas City, Mo. to Hannibal, Mo. is 213 miles, according to road atlas!! Go to MSQC for sure! Take you credit card too! Have fun!

I've driven from Kansas City to Hamilton, and it is a little over an hour. They are building new stores right now. My quilt guild went there a couple of months ago. Such an awesome story of what they have done and what they are doing for the town of Hamilton.

There are many quilt shops in the Kansas City metro area (including shops on the Kansas side). My favorite shop is Prairie Point in Shawnee, Kansas. If you haven't been to the Kansas City area, usually only a street divides the different towns in the metro area; the street State Line is the dividing line between Kansas and Missouri. You can google "quilt shops in Kansas City metro" and find lots of listings; be sure to include Kansas as well. The trip to Hamilton is well worth the drive. Hamilton has become a tourist attraction because of the Missouri Star Quilt Company there. You may have seen Jenny Doan's video tutorials on YouTube. She makes them from their shop. Hamilton is a little over an hour's drive from KC, depending on where you are starting. Happy shopping!!
