I have emailed Teddy Pruett and attached pictures and am waiting to see if she will reply.
This is the story: I have been given a 68"x81" quilt made of men's ties. Back is lavender cotton folded over the top to make the binding. Hand pieced, hand quilted in Baptist fan pattern, old time cotton batting (seed residue). It has been washed so batting is lumpy and there are some tears and frays.
This quilt was made by this elderly lady's late husband's mother at about age 50 or 60 in Virginia. She died a few years ago at age 100.
This lady wants an approximate sales value and then wants to sell this quilt.

All we need is a fair market value ... not a full appraisal.
