Congratulations! She is beautiful.
My son was born 7 weeks premature and had to stay in the NICU as well. I know how your GD felt when she had to leave that precious little baby there! But,honestly, it was the best thing not just for him but for me. I had a c-section so since I could not drive I took all the pain meds they gave me and got as much rest as I could. I went to the hospital to see him 2 times per day and when I wasn't there I was resting. In the end, the doctor said that I healed nicely and fairly quickly. I believe that it was because I was able to have those 12 days to rest as much as I could. Of course, 12 days felt like 120 but thinking back they did go fast.
Congtatulations again on a very special delivery!
