    :?: Dear Gals,
Hi to all you ladies who live in the Washington DC area!! I am going to be in town for a few days and I would like to visit the Fabric shops that are close to where I am staying. Do you have any shops for me to look into???

There could be some.... maybe... but good luck with that! Sorry, I couldn't resist. You can take the girl out of DC, but can't take 34 yrs in DC out of the girl. Ok...having made my little joke, G St Fabrics is in Rockville Maryland and is definitely the motherload and worth a visit. They have stores in Falls Church and Centreville, VA, but they are smaller stores. http://www.gstreetfabrics.com/about.shtml. They have a photo tour here and instructions for getting there via the metro. http://www.gstreetfabrics.com/locations.shtml#

(Mary Jo's in Gastonia NC is my 'little G St' and saves a trip to DC.)

The Artful Quilter in Burke, VA is great, Jinny Byers store in Gret Falls, VA and best of all--Web Fabrics in Purcellville, VA. All fabulous! Another Bernice

    Dear Gals,
I got your choices for fabric stores and I will try and visit everyone I can. Love going to the fabric stores. Never tire of looking as all the things the stores have to offer. Thanks again. Just love this site and everyone in it. The name Bernice goes back a while but I have a quilting buddy named Bernice and a new Bernice who helped me with my search for Fabric Stores in DC.
