According to MapQuest it's a 2 1/2 hour drive. So . . . I'll have to leave at 8 am to give myself a half-hour cushion for construction or whatever else is on the highway. I'm hope a couple of gals from my Sat. morning quilt group can go so I'll have some company on the drive.

Linda, looking at MapQuest, instead of going up 23 to 96 to 127, I could go straight up 23 to Mt. Morris and pick you up if you want to ride together. Then it looks like we'd go up 75 to 10 and we would be in Clare. LMK.

I live in Livonia and work in downtown Detroit. I haven't been to any quilt shops yet. I am heading up to Mackinaw on Sept. 16th returning on the 19th. I can take 75 or 127, where should I stop along the way. Too bad I can't leave the 15th, I would love to meet with you all in Clare. Maybe next time.

Let me know if anyone does a Brighton get together, only 30 minutes from me. No quilt shops in my area that I know of.

Do I go to Apple Tree?......But of course, it is 2 miles from my home. Once in a while I teach classes there. I go to completion day every month. Have you been to completion day? If not you will have to try it sometime. PM me and we can discuss it. DH and I go to church in Clio and we are quite familiar with Mt. Morris. Quilty Hugs...

I have a sister who use to live in Livonia and now lives in Brighton (about 50 minutes south of me), I love the Brighton shops.
