Joy, a girlfriend and I are going. It's actually ALL MONTH long.
Oh but this is a separate one. Some of the shops on the North Texas hop are not participating in Quilt Across Texas. But it's all fun.

If you can make it to Quitman and visit Stitchin heaven, They have done an outstanding job of using the QAT fabrics in everything you an imagine. I bought fabric and the pattern to make an ironing board cover.

I love the Celeste shop, they have some beautiful fabric and they are so helpful, a fun experience going there anytime.

My daughter and I went to A&K Quilting in Bridgeport to start our Hop just today. We don't know how many shops we'll Hop to... We live right where three regions meet. So it's our big FUN adventure and quest before she moves to Florida in October to visit as many as possible.

So is everything okay in the Bridgeport area? I had heard that Bridgeport was a staging area for the firefighters, so we were worried that there may be problems getting into that area.

We drove through twice, going to the shop and coming back. I didn't see any fire fighters or smoke.....Maybe that's a good sign.

Are you collecting anything special or just doing the hop things?

I've been collecting some fat quarters in aqua and cream to make a quilt for a little girl getting married next July. Lots of plans for the Texas fabric. And have to find some Funky Monkey cream polka dot. I messed up cutting for a kit that I've started. I'm hoping to find some tomorrow. Hitting McKinney, Aubrey, Denton and Lewisville. May make it to Pantego.
