    Crazybaker and I had our name tags on too...never saw you! We did meet up with one other person but don't believe she wanted to wait at the gift shop. Unfortunately no group pics from us.

    The show was stunning. Lots of very unique and creative quilts. Lots of color too!

    I was looking for you, but never saw you. I didn't make it to the 12:00 meeting (lunch line was slow and I was with other people) but I did run into a few board members that I recognized from previous get-togethers. We all agreed that we need to have another NW get-together.

    Dunster, did you go on Saturday as well? That's when they were there. We had a great time! I'll post pics tomorrow!

    No, I only went the one day (Friday), when I saw you. No wonder I didn't see Kelly, whom I know from the Lebanon guild.

    I was a little disappointed in some aspects of the show and wonder if anyone else had the same complaints. If it weren't for the speaker (Marsha McCloskey, who was excellent) I don't think the show would be worth the $10 admission.

    These are my complaints - I can be pretty picky! I wouldn't complain about these things if it were a guild's show, but I think the Oregon Gardens should be able to do better.

    (1) the name of the quilter and pattern designer were not displayed with the quilt (but they were in the printed brochure);
    (2) all those signs saying no flash photography - my pictures did not come out very good because of that, and yet I've been told that flashes do not harm the quilts;
    (3) poor lighting, especially when light from the skylights hit the quilts (and that has to be far worse than flash photography);
    (4) quilt racks hung very closely together, which contributes to the poor lighting but does get more quilts into what is essentially a small show.

    I agree with your comments, especially no photo flashes. Couldn't take the time to check my camera and turn it OFF, if that is possible!

    I didn't show up 'til afternoon! I had a good time with my daughter-in-law! We were wowed by the international quilt display! (We also each bought a pair of earrings from Nairobi). Carol
