Is anyone planning on going to the NW Quilt Expo the following weekend? Maybe some of us can hook up there too? Maybe this is a question for a separate thread? I'll put one out there in a few weeks, when we get a bit closer.

Hope to see you all soon!

Oh Feathers, I am so sorry that you have had such a hard time! I will really miss seeing you. Heal fast, and my condolences on the loss of your mother.

It seems the femur was cracked in the first surgery and the radiologist and the doctor missed it on the films so I was doing everything they told me to do including PT. Well, the femur broke in half and the hip they put in the first time had to be removed and a new one put in with a longer shaft and they cabled my femur together. I was in the hospital for a week, just got out on Tuesday and I can't put any weight on my leg at all for 6 to 8 weeks. Right now my whole left leg is swollen the size of my trunk and I have staples from just below my natural waistline to about 4 inches from the knee. It's healing as it's itchy as all get out now!
We postponed my mom's funeral until after the surgery so that will happen on Sept. 11th. It's been a hard, hard few weeks!

God is good and soon I'll be back to normal, I'm sure! Enjoy your gathering, thanks for taking this month for me, Alice. I'll make it up to you sometime. Wish I could walk through your woods then sit on your deck and see what sunset vistas you get from that perch...sunrise certainly is gorgeous.
Wow! What a month you've had! I sure hope things get better! We'll miss you!

Oh, Feathers, I am SO sorry. Sometimes don't you just wonder how much God will put on us to bear? I wish you strength to endure, and solace in your grieving. Please know my thoughts are with you.

Thank you all for the warm wishes of sympathy and for the prayers. I'll NEVER pass up a prayer....kinda like a quilt shop or fabric sale! My mom has been very ill for about 3 years and her poor little body just finally got tired of fighting off everything. She was ready to go and she wondered why God took so long to bring her Home.

I can't wait til I can again meet with all of you. We've had such fun at the 3 gatherings I've attended. Enjoy, I'll be thinking of all of you.
