I am planning a trip down there for my anniversary next spring and am curious if anybody can recommend any quilt or fabric shops-----or anything to do, eat or shop, for that matter. All suggestions welcome! Thanks!

We're flexible, and spending two weekends with the week between---so I suspect we'll ferry to several of the islands. I'm doing advance research to see where I just have to go.... Thanks for your response!

I am so jealous! I haven't been to any quilt shops down there, but I do remember when I was in St Maartin a few years back with a group of friends that one of them went to a fabric shop. I just remember it was within walking distance of the pier, straight back a few blocks and to the left....at least that's where she described it as. I know it wasn't on the first main drag where all the shops are.

I went to this same fabric shop in March and really wasn't impressed with the fabrics. The only ones I really liked were the Batiks by Timeless Treasures and the cheapest ones were $12-$15/yd. The shop had an awful MUSTY smell and I didn't know if the fabric would smell like it also if I bought it. I passed on ALL fabrics!
