I was in Shipshewana a few days ago and saw a sign for a Quilt Show in June. I am not sure the dates, Eleanor Berns was on the sign also. I belive it was at the Garden Gate.Thought some of you might like to know about it. Somene on the board will surely know more about it than I do.
I like to look at the Amish Vegetable gardens. We like to drive around a take a look. We have had so much rain in NE Indiana very thing is nice and green. If you happen to go have a nice day.

I miss Shipshewana,I grew up in Wabash County, we used to go to a church camp in Shipshewana every summer, it was such fun, they would take all of us into town to get ice cream. What great memories of the place. If anyone gets the chance to go, GO. You will not be disappointed.

It is next week...Weds. the 23rd to Sat. the 26th. One can Google Shipshewana and find their tourism site for more info. I know Eleanor Burns is speaking and doing some workshops. If the info I had is correct, her part of the workshops is sold out. She is also doing book signings at Yoder's dept store at a couple different times. There is also an area quilt shop hop on Fri and Sat. I am hoping to get up there at some point next week.

My hubby is making some spool holders for the shop hop for those dates. They are in the shape of a needle. All oak. One was put in a quilt show last year and everyone fought for it! LOL....went for $40.00 So he has made up 20 of them. They will be at the Homespun Treasures in Ligonier . Shipsie is a great place to be this time of year.

    Quilt ladder.

I've signed up for lots of the classes, etc. The school house classes are especially nice. Looking forward to seeing Eleanor Burns and sewing with Penny Herron. Hope to see some of you there!! I only live 20 miles from shipshewana and go there quite often.
