My sister,sister-in-law, a cousin's wife and I are coming to Yorkville for the quilt show on Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the civil war era quilts. I live in Elwood, my sister's in Morris, my sister-in-law lives in Lockport and Pat, my cousin's wife lives in Montgomery. We'll all meet at the Library then have lunch. A fun day.

Sounds great, close enough to me. Perhaps the 16th, tomorrow I'm still working on my taxes!!
One of these years I'm actually going to start my taxes early. When pigs fly.

I was there today. The quilts are really nice. I hope I can take my mother before it closes. She uses a walker but she will be able to handle this one as it is all on one level and not extremely large but worth coming to see. The "Civil War Quilting Group" has been in existance for 8 or 9 years and they do lovely work..a great lesson in history as well as fantastic quilts.

Argh! Why did I just NOW (4/17) see this?!? My mom and I would have really enjoyed it. She transcribed our ancestor's CW diary and we plan to start a CW inspired quilt together soon, God willing. Drat!
