These photos make me grin, even my husband enjoyed them. I am afraid of what kind of pictures will top these when we get together again. LOL I should have brought a camera, I saw some funny things with that boat of FQs. Now that our secret is posted the boat will be empty when get back there. <g> Great, Great Day Ladies !

Yes, it was a big one. Fire department is on standby. Wait, no, not necessary. Only 13 candles on the cake.

Thank you for making the day extra special.

I had a great time too. It was so good to meet you and the other ladies. Everyone was just so nice. What a great day! My husband really enjoyed it too. He said how everyone is so nice and no wonder they enjoy this message board.

    Four to Nine Patch

    1. Start with four, 5 inch squares; two of each color.
    2. Sew together with ¼ inch seams.

    3. Cut 1 ½ inch from each seam line.

    4. Rotate the 4 pieces that have two narrow strips of each color ½ turn.

    5. Sew the block back together.

    10 Minute Table Runner
    Materials needed:
2 contrasting fabrics; ½ yard of one and 1/3 yard of the other

    1. Square up your fabric; lay the fabrics right sides together on top of each other matching one long edge and sew using a quarter inch seam.

    2. Press open

    3. Match and sew the other long edge together. You now have a long tube.

    4. Press the tube so that there is about 2” of the contrasting fabric on each side of the narrow fabric.

    5. Fold tube in half lengthwise and sew a ¼ “ seam on each end..

    6. Open and turn the ends so the seam is inside the point that is formed when opening.

    7. You can get two different looks depending on which side was out when you folded your tube.

    8. Do some topstitching and maybe add a tassel to each end and you are done.
